I've been tempted to purchase one at a local flea market, but don't know where I could get the ribbon for it. Where do you find your ribbon? Do you go on-line?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1341483723976821096.post-47871309315227578282011-12-09T10:52:08.731+00:002011-12-09T10:52:08.731+00:00Scarlet - I agree that it is sad when people throw...Scarlet - I agree that it is sad when people throw things away without thinking of their real value.
Floss - I always suspected your family would be going up in the world!

blessings xAngelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13494078135251214182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1341483723976821096.post-66309016862620117392011-12-09T09:41:14.216+00:002011-12-09T09:41:14.216+00:00What a great history! But they may have taken a typerwriter, all the same...

It's great that you're still getting use of it after all these years. My sister (the journalist) adopted our dad's old typewriter when she was 8, taught herself to touchtype, and has never looked back. I don't know if she still has the typewriter, though.Flosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18098894367955345944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1341483723976821096.post-58755919552857312762011-12-09T09:12:58.309+00:002011-12-09T09:12:58.309+00:00What a brilliant present- things used to be made t...What a brilliant present- things used to be made to last , as shown by your typewriter. I do despair sometimes of the throwaway world we live in, and the way that everything seems to have a price. I cringe when I see people selling their relative's war medals for a few quid on antiques programmes. Some things are worth far more than money.Scarlethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01729719876504930455noreply@blogger.com
