Whether it is the death of one lad, known just to a few - or of many, in an accident which makes headlines across the world - the loss of a bright young life is so sad. Praying for those who mourn, that somewhere in all this, they can find Easter hopeAngelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13494078135251214182noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1341483723976821096.post-61227784762316690642018-04-08T23:28:51.519+01:002018-04-08T23:28:51.519+01:00I was surprised at how today's service still r...I was surprised at how today's service still referred to and celebrated Easter and the hymns were truly uplifting so it didn't feel like a "low" Sunday to me.<br />Sorry for the family who have lost a son much too soon. Here in Canada it seems as though the whole country is in mourning at the moment. There was a terrible accident a couple of days ago out in Saskatchewan between a bus carrying a young hockey team and a transport truck. The truck driver survived but 15 onboard the bus were killed and the remaining 14 are badly injured - and there may be more deaths to come. The team members were mostly in the 16 - 20 age so there are many grieving families at the moment. And of course the bus driver, coach and the team broadcaster were the adults killed and also leave grieving families. It is a very sad time - a vigil is planned for tonight and will be covered on TV. It just seems so much worse when it's a young person who dies much too soon. You always wonder what might have been. I hope your friends are able to get through this terrible time.Margie from Torontohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10103835021764804099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1341483723976821096.post-21727372807148049732018-04-08T21:39:46.318+01:002018-04-08T21:39:46.318+01:00I'm hoping both you and the car get home safel...I'm hoping both you and the car get home safely.Nickyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05649642688130989347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1341483723976821096.post-37844876603223613372018-04-08T14:37:28.166+01:002018-04-08T14:37:28.166+01:00Thanks for this info, Philip. In fact, in the RC Church, Low Sunday has been redesignated Devine Mercy. The reason for this seems a little convoluted but it does have a more positive connotation. And it resonates with the comments of those bereaved parents.Philiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13415361156288825232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1341483723976821096.post-46799786964520736412018-04-08T10:23:57.143+01:002018-04-08T10:23:57.143+01:00No justice when parents lose their precious childr...No justice when parents lose their precious children.Between Me and Youhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04863155145862706966noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1341483723976821096.post-40617669369370114372018-04-08T08:24:58.391+01:002018-04-08T08:24:58.391+01:00My deepest sympathies to the family who lost their...My deepest sympathies to the family who lost their young loved one.
