New York based artist Olek has applied her talents to some guerilla knitting on Crosby Beach [well, to be pedantic, this is crochet not knitwear] She has dressed two of Antony Gormley’s statues. Full story from the BBC here.
And thank you Carolyn – for giving us 6 weeks of Fun, Fun, Fun!
the crochet is great fun - and the Beach Boys are my favourite ever group! now celebrating 50 years with a new album and new 'single' which sounds beautiful but not sure of the theology of 'That's why God made the radio'!
ReplyDeleteWe bought our daughter an old Thunderbird when she was a teenager-we loved to tease her with this song!
ReplyDeleteThose sculptures are still spooky even covered in crochet!!!Why have the Beach Boys brought out a new single with nothing new about it? That's even spookier!Have a great Jubilee Weekend - very subdued celebrations up here!
ReplyDeleteThe new Album comes out in a month and i think it will do so much better than their last effort, Summer in Paradise. They are on tour at the moment in the USA .. They sound really really good for a band where all the members are around 70 years old.
