Comfort [Food] And Joy

Pete and Jan enjoying their Dorset Cereals Porridge this morning! One other church member texted to say that she thought the porridge had an ‘interesting’ taste – but due to the Xtreme Xmas busy-ness she had not been shopping recently, so it was a great alternative to the bread in the breadbin which she discovered to be going mouldy!

I notice P&J like Golden Syrup on their porridge. Bob likes Demerara Sugar. My mother used to take it with a pinch of salt.

What do you sprinkle on your porridge?

  1. A very light sprinkle of white sugar for me. I haven't had porridge since I moved house - the electric rings take ages and I don't think it's as good done in the microwave. Oh to have a gas supply in the kitchen!

  2. Maple syrup ...we buy it by the litre! If not then brown sugar is my next favourite.

  4. Maple Syrup. Heather's clovey crab apple runny jelly. Salt if I've made it just for me!!
