There…And Back Again

IMG_0655

Patrick-The-Irish-Airman who flies over the garage roof at Cornerstones has turned his wings, and his propeller is spinning. It is time for us also to think about the journey back to the Midlands this morning. Time to pack up and leave everything spick and span [and say goodbye to our lovely new summerhouse!]

Holidays are a wonderful time for rest and recreation – but however much I’ve loved being here, with family, friends [and another loving church fellowship] I am quite happy to be returning to Kirby, and all that is ahead of us there. September looks like being a frighteningly busy month…and as we move into the Autumn there will be all the preparations for The Festive Season. How will I fit it all in?

I saw a lovely banner hanging in the church in North Elmham on Sunday when I was at the Flower Festival.

A good reminder that holidays come and go, the seasons change, and our pattern of life varies between free-time and frenetic, but we can always depend on the constancy of God’s love, and nothing that this world can throw at us will take that away. Wherever I am, whatever I am doing, He is there!

For I am certain that nothing can separate us from his love: neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers, neither the present nor the future, neither the world above nor the world below—there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.

  1. And how right you are. He is there, no matter what. No matter the trouble or joy, we can go to him in all things for he is already with is, waiting. Loving. X

  2. A timely reminder, Ang.
I very nearly popped in on Kirby Muxloe as I drove up to Liverpool a couple of weeks back. If I hadn't told my mum what time I'd be arriving, I could have called in on your holiday club as I saw the sign from the M1 junction
"Oh! That's where Ang is!" and I threw up a little prayer for your Holiday Club!
