Peace Work

Yesterday afternoon I went over to Market Bosworth Chapel, because my friend’s son was being baptised. It was MB Festival weekend, so I popped in to look at the quilt display [I’d visited this last year too] 

I was particularly taken with the pieces made as part of the Afghanistan Inspiration project. The good ladies of MB each took a square of fabric embroidered by an Afghan woman, and incorporated it into their own stitching.

Do check out the AI website. I met an Afghan family in the Salzburg hostel for Asylum Seekers last week, so this project was of particular interest.
