Fortunately the extreme migraines I suffered in my youth are very rare these days, and prompt action when I do get the warning signs helps a lot. Wednesday’s malaise was nothing like as bad as it might have been. I felt bad about letting the class down, but teaching would have been impossible. Very grateful to my loving, tolerant and patient husband, for his understanding and support. And because I was sensible yesterday, I will be OK today in school – and should manage to last out through tonight’s Parents’ Evening too.
Wishing you well and a stress less day xxx.
ReplyDeleteBad luck to get a migraine. Hope you're back to full strength really soon, take care of yourself, Vee x
ReplyDeleteThat must be horrid for you. Don't do too much today.
ReplyDeleteI suffered migraine for years, for me it was chocolate that set it off. Take care, ,migraine and teaching do not mix.
ReplyDeleteI grew up with debilitating migraines from age three.Certain foods were triggers so I also grew up without chocolate! Luckily the migraines stopped at about age eighteen. I wonder what your recent trigger was.

I've never had a migraine, but my poor daughter suffers from them. She has to do an injection to get relief.
ReplyDeletePoor you, headaches are bad enough, let alone Migraines! X
ReplyDeleteGlad you have it under control. I get occasional migraine with no pain (lucky me) just the disturbed vision and 'funny feeling' - I had it recently when driving and just made it home before everything became a psychedelic pool of lights/fireworks and water fountains that perform before my eyes! I am so grateful I don't get pain and admire you for being so good at anticipating and keeping going.Betty
ReplyDeleteThanks everybody - today went well, and the Parents' Evening was OK. But I am planning an early night now !
