Bizarrely, the other post which has been pinned and repinned a number of times is the one about purple chocolate wrappers!
Still, it is good to feel that the blog is useful to other people.
I occasionally look at Pinterest, but don't have any 'boards'. It was useful when Steph was thinking about wedding flowers and favours to be able to check her pictures, but I am afraid it could so easily be another internet-time-waster, so I try not to get too involved with it.
Do you use Pinterest much?
Have you ever found anything really good there?

Pin-Ups From The Past
Just lately I have been surprised by people putting comments on my blog about posts which I did years ago. Such as thanking me for the tutorial for making an Officer's Peaked Cap. [That appeared back in 2008, when I had only been blogging for a few months] Why is this? I thought. I wondered if people had just googled it - or maybe they had found it some other way. Then I realised people use Pinterest for such things. These five tutorials have proved quite popular down the years. I was surprised to discover I have had hundreds of pins and repins from Tracing Rainbows.
I've been using it to "hold" vegetarian recipes in particular since my veggie student arrived. I've got other stuff on there and use it as a library really - but don't actually spend hours pinning stuff to my boards - I can see how addictive it could become and actively try to avoid that as I just don't have time!
ReplyDeleteI'm scared to do any more internet time wasting too so I've never been on there!!!
ReplyDeleteI use it to hold recipe collections by ingredient or theme - I also have a board for books I have reviewed. Have a nice weekend Angela. Cheers from Carole's chatter
