There have been a few things 'niggling away' of late - but the calendar reminds me that God loves me unfailingly, whatever happens. And that gives me courage and hope for whatever each day might bring. [I do enjoy turning over a new calendar page each month!]
Me too. There's a sense of anticpation on the first day of the month and, equally important, there's a sense of drawing a line under the falings of the previous month. Thanks for this post.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you know John Keble's hymn, Mary, "New every morning is the love" - your comment reminded me of it. Thankyou
DeleteThat really is a lovely calendar
ReplyDeleteI'm getting much pleasure from it
DeleteLike the old chorus 'Turn your eyes upon Jesus', which I used to, and still do, find rather too sweet, words and melody, but sums it up memorably...
ReplyDeleteIt does indeed. We heard the tune played in church in Scotland 3 weeks ago (the whole hymn , not just the chorus) the guy on the keyboard rattled off lots of "golden oldies" before the service started.
DeleteI feel lately that time is flying by but I’m not achieving very much. Must try and do better this month! Catriona
ReplyDeleteHow are we only a few weeks from Midsummer??
DeleteHope it's not health stuff that's niggling though I know you're sensible enough to get any such worries checked immediately. You remind me of that Duracell bunny, Ang, perpetually in motion! Have a good and restful weekend! You deserve it.x
ReplyDeleteMostly it's been concern about my mouth/dental issues. But my dentist has had a good examination and I will have a proper session with him soon. So that's a huge weight off my mind. Otherwise health is fine. As I get older I recognise the wisdom of not ignoring minor health issues before they become major!
DeleteI hope the month of June will be a good month for you. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd for you too, Bless 💗👍
DeleteI was looking at mine the other day to add some appointments to the June page and I seem to have rehung it still on June ... so I had nothing to turn over this morning, how disappointing.
ReplyDeleteOh, never mind! 😉
DeleteWhat a lovely picture, a reminder that
ReplyDeletesometimes we need to find somewhere peaceful if possible, to sit and bask in God's love for us.
👍😎
