A member of our congregation took the service this morning as our Minister is on vacation. She did such a great job that she received a round of applause as she walked to the Narthex after finishing the benediction. Amen indeed.
That's the first time I've seen someone use 'Narthex' in common parlance! We use it to describe our social area out side the main music playing barn at music camp! I love this hymn! Kxx
I'm in Canada - a Presbyterian. We call the "entrance area" - main doors in and then inner doors to the sanctuary - the "lobby" area between is the Narthex.
Niw singing this at the top of my voice while getting the house back in order after the double glazing.Catriona
