The Tenth Tree Picture

Can you believe it - 10 out of 12 pictures have been taken. A few leaves are yellowing, there are definite signs of autumn in the foliage around the field.

It was a much greyer day yesterday morning

Here is the first photo from the beginning of January 2025. Sometime in the next 12 weeks, all those green leaves will fade and fall and My Tree will look bare again.
But the basic shape of the tree and its branches has remained constant. Each month it has been beautiful in a different way...

  1. It's been a good series of photos over the course of the year. It's hard to believe that it will go from fully green to bare over the next couple of months isn't it. But nature is a wonderful thing and it's leaves will feed the soil beneath it, and give it the energy it needs to green up again next year.

  2. Lovely photos of your tree, in our garden the trees are losing their leaves very quickly now.

  3. It is beautiful indeed in every season . I enjoy looking at the difference in the bushes behind the tree too! JanF

  4. I like the concept of revisiting a scene through the year. You develop a relationship that way.

  5. That is a very stately tree. I missed your previous post, and just want to add that I'm sorry you had to cancel your holiday, but with Bob's back it sounds for the best. I hope his back improves quickly.

  7. However much we enjoy warm, sunny days, we would be bored without the changing seasons and the amazing shift in colours, from the delicate ones of spring to the mature, confident and sometimes apologetic ones of autumn!
