Of Mice And Museum

These were the mice I made two years ago for our local Museum
This year the theme is Sport In  Dereham, so the mice are all wearing hats and scarves in support of Dereham Football Club, aka The Magpies.
Katie has planned a new trail and more mousey mayhem for the summer. Bishop Bonner's Cottage Museum opens today for the summer season.
Well done to all the team at Dereham Heritage Trust
In other news, our next door neighbours have discovered mice in their loft. Cornerstones is semi detached. I'm hoping these little creatures don't get through into our space! I do not want them nibbling through my new wallpaper books!

Bonnie The Mouse even got a mention on the BBC Radio Norfolk breakfast show on Wednesday!

  4. Love your little mice in their football attire. Hope the mice don’t come into your side-fingers crossed. Catriona

  5. What a success your nice are. I love their bobble hats and scarves. We had a mouse visitor a coupled years ago, he got in through a small hole near a drain which led into the cupboard under the kitchen sink. We caught him in a humane trap primed with peanut butter which was recommended on the trap instructions. Apparently mice love peanut butter. We took the trap to our local woods and let him free. The hole has since been repaired. I hope the move don't get through to your loft. Regards Sue H

    1. We have been using PB on traps for a few years now. Mice 🐭can apparently squeeze through a hole the thickness of a pencil ✏️

    1. First mice in 2024, then more in 25. This year just hats and scarves(so much easier)

  8. One of the nicest things you have done and I am so glad that these mice are so appreciated.
The wee scarves and hats are fantastic! I smile when I look at them. JanF

  9. Maybe the Museum Mice found their way to your neighbour's as it was more comfy. I was going to suggest PB too. You don't want them to chew your wallpaper books or any electric wires either. Xx
