Rosie adores the Studio Ghibli Cat purse which her dad brought back from a trip abroad. It has suffered of late- it is rather grubby, and sadly the pupils have come away from the eyes. "Grandma, please do you have any black felt?" She emptied the purse and left it with me I climbed up into the loft.
π₯΅It is absolutely swullocking up thereπ₯΅
I took my phone with me, as one of my tasks was to photograph the electric socket for Bob. And as I got it out, I spotted a message from Katie regarding another Mouse for the Museum. So I grabbed black and yellow felt, the whiskers wire, and a few other bits. I was just about to come down when I spotted a long thin yellow fabric bag - It was my missing Hockney posters! I've found the cat!
Mr & Mrs Clark [& Oscar] are on the spare bed, looking up very suspiciously. The only space I could find for my Bigger Splash print is on the wardrobe door. It just fits above the handle! It can stay there for a few weeks in honour of Mr Hockney

My sentiments entirely re the football Angela!

DeleteBrilliant result! (In football and loft searching.)
ReplyDeleteππ⚽π§πͺ But why didn't I spot the pictures last week?
ReplyDeleteSchadenfreude is a terrible thing....except when it's completely justified.

DeleteHow handy to have a box of half - finished mice, and then to be able to find it when you want it!
ReplyDeleteTrump. Words fail me.
I am putting more, and larger, labels on boxes these days, so I can find them quicker
DeleteThat's great you found your Hockney posters. We are so pleased Belgium beat the US at football, my Husband has Belgian ancestry so we were doubly thrilled, but mostly because Trump was well and truly trumped. Regards Sue H
ReplyDeleteBob's half Belgian. Trump is beyond description
DeleteI'm glad the mice aren't really so orange - that would be very odd.
ReplyDeleteThey are more tan/brown
DeleteYou must get your Hockneys framed! They're fab. My daughter-in-law is on hols with her Mum and my grandson in Suffolk at a rather lovely Air BnB. Thank goodness it has a pool! Meanwhile my son's swullocking in London!
ReplyDeleteBob said at breakfast we ought to frame them. But where to hang them....?
DeleteOne in the bathroom (pool pic) and one in your spare room?

DeleteThe thing that pleased me most this morning is seeing how well loved and used Rosie’s bag is. Too often we keep lovely things for best when we should use and enjoy them. I’m sure Rosie will be delighted with the repair you make on her bag. Late commenting today as we have been and braved the supermarket for a big shop. I now need time to recover from the bill! At least it was cool in the supermarket as we’re back to warm weather again. Catriona
ReplyDeleteYou are right, Rosie gets such pleasure from using the cat purse. And she is learning to manage her money wisely.
DeleteGlad you found your pictures. It is strange how we find 'misplaced' items when we are not looking for them. Looking forward to seeing the next mouse/mice. You are so clever making them.
ReplyDeleteIt is very hard working with felt in this hot weather. I'm glad the bulk of the work iwas already done.
DeleteI think everyone was rooting for Belgium. Your 2 meeces do look very Trump Orange, but you will have spares when the Museum need them. Grandad normally takes Iris to get an ice-cream or sweets on a Monday from school, but she's asked if she could have the money instead to save for her holiday in Wales in August. Xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a thrifty child!
DeleteI still get requests for mending from granddaughter when she visits. If she lived near here I might have been able to teach her to do her own. I confess that before the game I said that it would be lovely if the Belgians didn't just win, but got 4-1. Seems I got my wish!

DeleteHow nice to find your Hockney posters. I love The Splash, you can just feel the water. Dont let those mice go into the attic, who knows what they'll do!
ReplyDeleteLooking at that cool water on a hot day is pleasing
DeleteMany of us here are also celebrating Belgium's win. A sad state of affairs this.
ReplyDeleteπ₯ It is sad
