Quilts Super, Quick Supper

Elisabeth and I had a lovely day. Lots of laughing and chatting and catching up, while we looked at all the merchandise and quilt displays. It will take a while to sort all my photos.
So here's one I took earlier of a recipe I tried out this week.
This is Jamie Oliver's Roasted Pepper Pasta
I made it on Wednesday evening and set aside half for Thursday. It was very easy and very tasty. And it just required heating through when I got back from the Quilt Show feeling exhausted [but happy]

  2. Thanks for the link to the recipe-I’ll leave out the chilli as my stomach can’t tolerate it. Looking forward to seeing your photos of the show. Catriona

    1. I forgot to say, I missed out the chilli too, used a spoonful of paprika instead

  3. I always find that Jamie's pasta recipes work out really well, even if I really simplify them.

    1. He uses more chili and garlic than I like, but as you say, you can simplify the recipes

  5. Hi
Were the peppers in water or oil?
The recipe looks delicious, but I think it could make a difference.
    Thank you

    1. I used a jar in water from Lidl because it was what I had to hand. I take your point, oil would change the taste probably for the better [but also up the fat content!]

  6. Jamie and Nigella are my current favourites. Nigella's sardine spaghetti was basis for today's lunch.
A quilting and sewing show! What a treat!
