“Sewn With Grace” is a lovely blog I enjoy reading – full of superb craft ideas, and favourite Bible verses. With the author’s permission, I am reproducing her blogpost for today - along with her accompanying photograph. My cold is still bad, and although I went to the Remembrance Day Service this morning, I have spent the remainder of the day sitting quietly and resting. I have done a little bit of stitching, but that is about all! A True Sabbath. The verse seemed particularly appropriate.
Here’s the post…
“Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life,
to mind your own business and
to work with your hands..."
I Thessalonians 4:11
I love that verse, copied, pasted, printed and on the wall, thanks Angela xx
ReplyDeleteVery timely in this busy season coming up to Christmas Angela. Glad you're feeling a little better and hope it doesn't take too long before you're 'up and at it' again. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteIf I were ever to meet Bob I know that I would not be restrained enough to refrain from throwing myself towards him screaming- you're the husband of that amazing bloggiste- she talks about you sometimes! I'm sure you have needed a rest today after all that emotional energy. It can only have been a good one with such beautiful food for thought. It has inspired me to log off immed
ReplyDeleteMags is so funny!
ReplyDeleteI love that verse. I wish I could stay home and be quiet. Maybe someday! I am going to be addicted to The Archers! Thanks for sharing! Drink tea and stay warm!
