So I drew a diagram a bit like this on the board and asked the children to label the forces acting on the sofa. [Think Forces, Think DFS - every Force has Direction and Strength]
I was expecting things like 'push' 'pull' 'friction' 'gravity' etc
Not "Police Force, Royal Air Force, Armed Forces"
Supply Teaching is never dull!
