I have just finished my part of the CoverStory Project, which Kirsten and I have been working on for a year. Our two panels are here
The 'info' panel fitted neatly inside the front cover - and at the back, my Immanuel strip, and lengths of embellished ribbons tucked inside. What a wonderful project, and practical too, this is my little day to day notebook, so will get a lot of use.
Our next collaborative project is due to start on August 1st...
It looks wonderful! It was such a great project and I'm already thinking about the next one. I've just pinned on the bias binding to my cover story and hope to finish it today.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to pictures, K
DeleteI've really been looking forward to seeing the finished cover and it is even better than I thought as I have read the monthly progress reports. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteIt's come out way better than I'd hoped too
DeleteWhat patience and skill you both have to complete these works of art. May you both have joy in using these covered notebooks.Catriona
ReplyDeleteThanks C. Mine is on a book already in use, it's a great improvement on the original plain cover ๐

DeleteIt looks lovely!

DeleteIts very pretty Angela, a worth while project.. perhaps your next one could be a cloth postcard to each other. I did that one summer with a local stitching group and Mr Postie knocked my door to hand me mine, which was a country side view. He was full of praise for it. I sent mine to someone can't remember who, but I've suddenly thought I could do some again!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds fun. Project #4 planned and due to start on 1st August. I'm intrigued by the idea of your cloth postcard, and how you stitch it without going to the "other side" and covering the address. Or did each person put a new back/ label over the previous work? And how lovely to brighten up the Postie's day too ๐ฎ
DeleteYou cover is lovely! You are both so talented.
ReplyDeleteThank you Celie
DeleteIt's beautiful and will be a joy to use!
