Take Comfort...

My apologies- only when I went to turn the calendar to November, did I realise I had not posted the October picture!
"The Lord Will Provide!" was something I remembering parents and grandparents quoting to me since I was a young child. I am nearly 70 now - and I can honestly say God always has provided what I have needed
That's not necessarily all I have wanted or asked him for. I love that quote from Ruth Bell Graham [wife of evangelist Billy] "It is a good job Gopd does not always answer our prayers by giving us what we have asked for. Otherwise I should have married the wrong man ...several times!"

  2. Ruth Bell Graham's quote made me smile, one I can relate to not getting married until I was 38, and having a couple of near misses with men until I met my husband. Within two weeks he asked me to marry him, and I said yes and we were married in two months. Thirty six years later still together, with two grown up sons. I feel blessed and every day I am truly grateful. We haven't always had things easy, pretty tough sometimes, but we have pulled through and I can honestly say we give thanks for that. Regards Sue H

  6. The hymn, "Great is Thy faithfulness" immediately springs to mind - "all I have needed Thy hand hath provided..." - "needed", not "wanted" being the important word!

  9. God does provide. And he does it in his own unique and special way. Patience can be hard sometimes...but we survive the waiting! Kxx
