Would You Believe It?

 Were you caught out?
Cadbury's Creme Eggs in sachets, Heinz Dubai Baked Beans with pistachio flavouring,
Birds Eye Waff-holes [using the potato pieces leftover from the waffles]
Dole pineapple flavoured eggs, and Terry's mint chocolate toothpaste were all advertised yesterday.
Krisy Kreme announced the withdrawal of their original glazed donut, while Waitrose said they would only sell Easter eggs to adults, not children.
Subway were offering their best rolls liquidised into protein rich drinks...
Oh and Hyundai have autonomous Mobilet portable toilets which will appear when you need them. At your own convenience presumably. I think they should have called them Deliverloo
All very classy work by the marketing guys. I wonder how many people were fooled. Apparently there were fewer pranks in the media this year - it seems people are getting more wary of fake news.
I learned two new words yesterday [genuine, not AF pranks] Thank you Catriona and Sue, for Huntigowk [Scottish term for April Fool's Day] and Pittakionophobia [fear of sticky labels]

  1. Every year on 1st April, I lie in bed with a happy smile on my face, thinking, "I wonder what Ang will have for us today?" You never disappoint!

  2. Those are funny! A very eco Kiwi girl I follow on Insta asked her readers on a poll whether she should go by bus or bike when she goes into labour at the end of her pregnancy. She said her husband would go by car but she wanted to go eco to the end. It made me laugh as they hire an electric car when they can't do public transport!

    1. I am surrounded by Post It notes as I sit at my computer [mostly cheery little messages from Rosie]

  5. I didn't see any April 1 pranks other than yours, as we don't have TV, and the radio was very much business as usual, focussed on the effects of the ice storm some kilometres south of us - fallen trees, no power and so on.

  6. That reminds me of the 'fields of Spaghetti'.

  7. I've just read today of a post from a defence newsfeed of a difficulty in locating all the stealth planes... 'we're wandering around the runways and hangars squinting at the spaces'.... I checked the date...ah. OK.

  8. Brilliant, I seem to have missed all of those, but then I rarely watch adverts these days.

The Police in our town did 'an invisible police car' ... pictured on Facebook for all to NOT see. Saying it would be parked in and around town to monitor speeding and lack of insurance. It was worrying how many people did not 'get it' at all. :-0
