At last all the dental treatment is completed [and paid for] My implant is in place, and I look forward to better eating experiences in the days ahead. I am not planning any more visits to the dentist till after Easter.
Another bit of good news - my new satnav system took me on a different route, which was much better than either of the other two routes I've used in the past. Win-win!
I arrived in really good time and actually got my day's 30 minutes of knitting done before my appointment.
Typing this at 5.30am, having been curled up in an armchair all night watching the "Race to the White House", drifting in and out of sleep. Right now it's looking very much like Trump has won. Not the result I was hoping for. Praying that whatever the final outcome, there will be no civil unrest in coming days.
Glad to hear your news about dentist. Pretty appalled to hear about Trump's successes so far.

DeleteI agree Angela. Like you I feared civil unrest but the result is sos cary

ReplyDeleteI bet you are happy regarding dental work, looking good. I too am so disappointed with the news from the US. Our tai chi teacher is from Boston but has lived here for over 40 years, we have a session this morning and she will be so down at heart regarding the news. I too pray it does not cause civil unrest, there is such division in the world already. Regards Sue H

DeleteYour smile looks great! Glad you are done with dental work for the time being.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and I are up, watching the election results. The numbers speak volumes!

DeleteGood news on the dental front, bad on the US election. 😔
ReplyDeleteI just updated my Satnav on my computer and suddenly she knows so many more new roads and car parks. Aren't they brilliant inventions, we would have been literally lost without ours this year.
🚗👍
DeleteBrilliant dental work and so natural looking.I cried this morning when I saw Trump was once again going to be President of the USA-obviously they would rather have him than a woman. It will affect the whole world except for the very rich who need not care. Trying to get on with some charity sewing and there’s no TV in the room where I sew. Catriona

DeleteI am ashamed and embarrassed to be american at this time. I don't expect civil unrest, as the group who has done so in the past is the one who won the election.
ReplyDeleteOn a cheerier note, your dental work looks great! I'm sure you're happy that is over!
No woman of truth and integrity need be ashamed. I share your sadness and continue to pray for your nation
DeleteI'm not at all happy with the USA result either, quite frightening.
ReplyDeleteWe must continue to hope and pray ❤️🙏😊
DeleteYour teeth look great, I m so very glad you decided to go with the implant.
ReplyDeleteI am disappointed about the election result but we have lived through a Trump presidency before and surely can do so again. I hope. JanF
The tooth should last many years!
DeleteThat's a very positive approach Jan. I hope things settle down for you all soon
I've felt very down all day because of the election results. Thankful God is still in control.
ReplyDeleteGod give you strength, wisdom and grace, as you minister to others right now
DeleteI'm glad your dentistry is successfully completed.
ReplyDeleteThe election result shocked me as I thought that at the very least the popular vote would have been for Kamala, and instead so much power has now come to Trump. But at least we don't have the risk of some terrible insurrection like January 6 the last time. I felt that the choice of candidate would have been very hard for me, between a convicted felon and someone who emphasized abortion rights. I did threaten to move to New Zealand if Trump won, Canada is so close! The best we can do is pray and trust God.
That is always the best thing to do. 🙏👍❤️.
