Three things I greatly enjoy
- Sharing the things I love about Norwich with a visitor
- Going to some sort of art exhibition, and a companion to enjoy it with me
- Meeting a blogfriend in person and feeling as if you've known them for ever
I managed all three things yesterday. Nicky has been a follower of Tracing Rainbows for a decade or more, and we've become real blogfriends through 'off-blog' correspondence via email and WhatsApp. She and I have watched our children grow up, and we've both moved house [she went south and I went east] but we never met 'in the flesh' till now.
Then she said she was coming to Norwich with her husband for a mini break. So we met up [in the splendid Cathedral Coffee Shop] Full details of our lovely afternoon will come later - but here we are outside the Cathedral [this is the selfie Nicky took, much better than my attempts]
I well remember meeting up with you! I think you were the first blogfriend I met in real life.
ReplyDeleteI remember having a lovely time with you, in the garden centre back in Ferndown!
ReplyDeleteAh, that's lovely! So glad you got to meet up and have a lovely time. After a decade too! That's excellent. Xx

DeleteA lovely meeting in a lovely setting. We have visited Norwich Cathedral and its coffee shop. Great photo ! Catriona
ReplyDeleteDelicious cakes too
DeleteDoes Nicky have a blog?
ReplyDeleteNo, she's just a loyal reader and has become a good friend
DeleteI know feel famous! It was such fun to meet up, and you are such a good tour guide. What you don’t know about Norwich is not worth knowing. Nicky K
ReplyDeleteThank you Nicky. It really was special to be able to meet up and "show off" my city

ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to meet up with fellow bloggers and lovely readers isn't it. You look so happy together, I bet it was a really nice day.
ReplyDeleteIt was really good!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to be able to meet in person! I hope you will continue to have these opportunities to meet up with blog pals.
ReplyDeleteIt makes blogging even more worthwhile
DeleteI've just watched a you tube documentary on Norwich, apparently it's the best medieval city in the UK, over 57 churches , abbeys and the cathedral of course, just so stunning.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fabulous city - it used to be said that there was a parish church for every Sunday of the year and a pub for every other day of the year!
