Waxworks

While Bob was on his knees plumbing [and fixed the problem] I spent much of Wednesday preparing stock for Saturday's Christmas Fair. I decided my mini jumpers needed better presentation. I used my gift tag punch and made long slim tags to hold the jumpers on their little hangers.
I also made ten sets of Waxwraps, like the ones I did back in Dorset. I ironed the wax granules onto the fabric, then made some cardboard envelopes.

I've modified the "bellyband" round the packs to include my shop logo
I use my ironing board as a standing workstation. I think it's better than sitting all the time!

I ended up with ten neat packets.
All very satisfactory... But I'm behind with my Advent Stitching, and my cross stitch collaboration piece.
And definitely I think I need a new cover on my ironing board.

    2. No wax cloths yet or I could have waxwing flyer points! All the birds are great and some are flying out of the house today.

  3. Excellent presentation and I hope you sell them all. Yesterday our dish washer threw up a fault code and stopped. Apparently i has water where it should ‘t and despite working together for several hours to clean and try to solve the problem, I will have to contact the service engineer this morning! Catriona

  4. You can now buy Elf clothes at Tesco (I have it on good Granddaughter authority but I'm not buying into that!). Had an idea that you could market your little jumpers 'also fits elves'??! Everything looks great. I was at an outdoor Xmas market last weekend and the stallholders all looked frozen to the bone! Hope yours is indoors?(I bought a couple of beeswax bars hoping to make wraps with them - any ideas?).

    1. Check out my post from 12/06/2017. I use the iron and parchment method. You don't need much wax! About 5gram per wrap. I stack three at a time and sprinkle wax on two inner layers. Iron between paper, then turn whole stack over, iron again

  7. Your little jumper decorations are so sweet. These would go a treat at our church's Christmas bazaar, but we would put under the category of Ugly Christmas sweaters, which is still a rage. ... Mary-Lou =^..^=
