It Doesn't Take Much

February's picture on the calendar is a gentle encouragement to us all to tell people that they matter, to never take others for granted.
And maybe you will say those kind words just at the moment when the person needs to hear them.
Every life is precious, and valued.

  1. A very true sentiment, so sad that some people just can't see their own worth, but worse that the actions of others make them feel worthless.

    1. Very true. And I'm especially conscious that the words of adults can literally make or break a child's sense of self worth.

  5. Like me, you’ll often have heard teachers/parents saying things to children which destroy the child’s confidence. I would have cheerfully sacked them when I heard it happening if I could. Catriona

  6. Sometimes it is just as simple as saying "thank you" for something that can easily be taken for granted when we are out and about.

  7. I do love proper Bird's custard! Real, not instant, of course. I'm not that keen on tinned, either... too sweet.
