Taking A Short Cut

It's sheer vanity, but I decided to take a selfie on my birthday. Bob was busy in the kitchen preparing our steak dinner, to be eaten by candlelight. My hair has got far too long [apart from my fringe, which I foolishly trimmed myself - very badly] I have been wearing it tied in a little ponytail to keep it off my face. On Friday I went into SuperCuts in Norwich, and Karen rectified the damage. I think it looks a lot tidier. [Thanks K]

  1. Not vanity. Call it a documentary record for future family historians. Happy birthday!

Your hair didn't look bad but it does look very neat now! Kx

  3. I think you look lovely in both photos. I am a serial fringe trimmer, and it always looks worse once I have wielded the scissors. My hairdresser Mel is always in despair, but she manages to work her magic and gets it looking presentable again. I do think hairdressers are amazing. Regards Sue H

    1. I only go 2 or 3 times a year, and in between my fringe gets very Winkleman !

  4. It looks really nice now, it's funny how such a little trim can make such a big difference to how you hair feels isn't it. That simple style really suits you.

    1. The "tidiness" thing is important. Straggly hair makes me feel a mess!

  9. You look great in both photos. Karen has certainly done a good job though, in creating that lovely curve in your hair. Love your glasses, too! I hope you enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner.

  10. Great haircut! I have curley hair and my mother would always wet my 'bangs' (aka 'fringe') before trimming so when they dried, they were very uneven!!
    Haappy Birthday to you!
It's our 52nd anniversary. How did that happen??

    Hugs!
