Taking A Short Cut
It's sheer vanity, but I decided to take a selfie on my birthday. Bob was busy in the kitchen preparing our steak dinner, to be eaten by candlelight. My hair has got far too long [apart from my fringe, which I foolishly trimmed myself - very badly] I have been wearing it tied in a little ponytail to keep it off my face. On Friday I went into SuperCuts in Norwich, and Karen rectified the damage. I think it looks a lot tidier. [Thanks K]

Not vanity. Call it a documentary record for future family historians. Happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteThank you Philip
DeleteYummy birthday dinner!
ReplyDeleteYour hair didn't look bad but it does look very neat now! Kx
Thanks Kezzie
DeleteI think you look lovely in both photos. I am a serial fringe trimmer, and it always looks worse once I have wielded the scissors. My hairdresser Mel is always in despair, but she manages to work her magic and gets it looking presentable again. I do think hairdressers are amazing. Regards Sue H
ReplyDeleteI only go 2 or 3 times a year, and in between my fringe gets very Winkleman !
DeleteIt's been over a year since my last haircut so I think I am overdue one!

DeleteIt looks really nice now, it's funny how such a little trim can make such a big difference to how you hair feels isn't it. That simple style really suits you.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sue! Simple, short and relatively easy to manage (like me)
DeleteHaha ... would Bob agree with that. ;-)

DeleteLooks very good Angela.
ReplyDeleteLovely hairdo and you look a very happy birthday girl in the second photo. Catriona
ReplyDeleteVery happy 😊
DeleteA short cut will keep you cool in the summer! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's true!
DeleteI like it! Happy belated Birthday!
ReplyDeleteThanks Terri
DeleteIt looks lovely, I'm due a haircut this week, can't wait to feel tidier x
ReplyDeleteAlison in Wales x
The "tidiness" thing is important. Straggly hair makes me feel a mess!
DeleteYou look great in both photos. Karen has certainly done a good job though, in creating that lovely curve in your hair. Love your glasses, too! I hope you enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner.
ReplyDeleteShe has cut it beautifully, including the back. Dinner was delightful
DeleteGreat haircut! I have curley hair and my mother would always wet my 'bangs' (aka 'fringe') before trimming so when they dried, they were very uneven!!
ReplyDeleteHaappy Birthday to you!
It's our 52nd anniversary. How did that happen??
Hugs!
Congrats on 52 years together
DeleteWhat lovely photos - I always think a good cut does wonders for how you feel. Happy Birthday too!
ReplyDeleteYes, a real boost to morale - esp as I enter my 70th year!
