Big Girl Jess "I'm three now, Grandma" clearly loves her new birthday frock. Especially the pockets! I can see that I might be making more from this pattern...
It looks super on her. I like the way Dad is matching her colour! You could make another one with stars embroidered on the pockets (alla Sarah Jane dungarees!).xx
I'm considering one in two fabrics, for yoke and skirt, using the yoke fabric for the pockets. Or maybe skipping the buttons and putting a lace trim or collar at the neckline....
Sweet dress, Jess looks so pleased with it. I love pockets in clothes, seldom found in women’s clothes unless you add them yourself. Love your ideas of different fabrics, I can see the stash getting bigger ……
Preacher, teacher, wife, mother, grandmother, craftswoman. Married to wonderful Pastor Bob since 1979, now happily retired to Norfolk, but still busy. I am blessed with two brilliant grown-up daughters and four wonderful grand children
It's alwats great to reuse a pattern. I find that the more times I make something the more creative I get.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, next time I shall tweak it a little. But the pockets will remain, she lives them so much.
DeleteShe looks adorable in her pink dress!
