The Centenary celebrations for the Village School continued today with a Thanksgiving Service organised by Churches Together.
Bob and Tom [Pastor and Rector] led the event
..and Val - from the Village Historical Society - spoke about times gone by, when the Punishment Book listed those who had been in trouble [often for 'silly grinning']
We saw a picture of the Centenary Mosaic, designed and made by the pupils...
...and they made an impromptu paper one
We recited the school creed
The choir sang, children read, and we prayed for teachers [no pictures of the children - sorry!]
And we looked at the History Society Display
It was a lovely afternoon, and the service was well attended by pupils, staff, family and friends. We have much to be thankful for!
