thrang; to be busy, crowded with work or occupation
That is the wonderful word for today from my ‘Forgotten English’ calendar. It has the same root as ‘throng’ - a crowd, and comes from the Flemish ‘dringen’- to press or squeeze.
Today I am definitely thrang – but very happy to be busy, so not complaining about it!
I like it! I think I'll find many opportunities to use it!
ReplyDeleteI was very thrang today, too, but I ended up feeling frazzled by the end of it. Nonetheless, somedays being thrangy is just the thing.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you'll be joining me in Cornmeal luxury! Show the pictures when you're finished!
