Comedy Cast Offs?

This week sees the start of the Leicester Comedy Festival. To alert people to this event, teams of dedicated guerrilla knitters have been out dressing up the city centre streets. Our lovely Leicester Seamstress Statue – representing all those women who slaved away in the hosiery industry now has a scarf, handwarmer and flowers.

Thank you to my friend Elisabeth for alerting me to this one.

  1. I remember you introducing me to her...glad she has a scarf to keep her warm!

  2. I've always wanted to be a guerilla knitter! Around here they call it "yarn bombing," which is a bit violent for my tastes, but I like the idea of making the world a bit brighter with knitting.

  3. They look lovely, and perfect for her.

Thank you so much for your kind comment. My mom went home last night to be with her Lord.

Always glad to hear from you - thanks for stopping by!
