Easy-Peasy Valentine’s Day Ideas

Two very quick and easy tutorials for Valentine’s Day Gifts which children can make.

MAKE A FELT HEART

You need felt, thread, needle, buttons, beads, ribbon

Choose a piece of felt

Use the template to draw a heart

Cut out shape carefully

TURN THE HEART OVER [so pen marks are on the back]

Use thread and beads to decorate the heart

Cut a length of ribbon for hanging up

Sew onto heart and sew a button over the ends

MAKE A GIFT BAG

Cut a piece of felt 10cm x 20cm,

2 pieces of ribbon 120cm long,

1 piece of lace 10cm long.

Decorate with beads and buttons

Sew the two ribbon handles in place

Cut the lace in half and sew across the ends

Fold the bag in half and sew up the sides.

Pop a gift inside.
