So grateful for the opportunity to have time with our growing family. Very aware that many do not have these blessings. Our weekend in Manchester was lovely.
I've brought back a cookbook [borrowed] two huge garli naans [bought] and a jar of preserved lemons [gift from Steph]
I don't think I have eaten preserved lemons... another new experience awaits
ReplyDeleteThey appear to be an essential Ottolenghi Ingredient!
DeleteI too have wondered how one uses Preserved Lemons! Kx
ReplyDeleteππThey're small and soft so you put the whole thing -skin and all- into your recipe.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of the family together. Glad you had a wonderful time and a safe journey there and back.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bless - I know how much you value mother&daughter time
DeleteAww, lovely photos, grandkids, toys and ice-cream it must have been a brilliant weekend. xx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely π
DeleteSuper photos and I’ll enjoy seeing what you make from the cookbook. Catriona

ReplyDeleteWell, of course I had to look up Preserved lemons as I have never come across them before. Very versatile little things and there are instructions on making your own. A sparkling lemonade version sounded good to me. You are going to have loads of fun with that jar.
ReplyDeleteGlad the time with family was so great. Does Steph have a twin baby push chair? JanF
She does have a twin buggy, but George is getting big enough to walk alongside , so she has a single one too
DeleteThe photos are lovely, so happy that you had a great weekend with the family. We had a good FaceTime visit with our son and daughter-in-law yesterday evening.
ReplyDeleteFace Time is wonderful if you can't be there in person
Deletealways good to see the grands, as they grow so fast!!
