White and yellow and pink and green
Beige and magnolia and blue
These are all the colours
My kitchen has been
Since nineteen seventy two...
Oh my goodness, the things you discover when you remove the cupboards and the tiles!
Busy today with our one day holiday club at the Chapel. Hoping for good weather!
Hoping for a good turn-out for you as well!
ReplyDeleteA dozen children, plus parents and helpers (and a small baby!) all went really well
DeleteYou are such a good person Angela a true Christian
ReplyDeleteThank you anon.❤️🙏
DeleteUrgh, pink!!!! And Beige!!!
ReplyDeleteThe beige is particularly vile. Late 1970s I think
DeleteA one-day holiday club sounds more manageable! Prayers for good weather and lovely children.
ReplyDeleteYes it was a bit easier. They were all lovely children and they worked together at things, with parents.A great family atmosphere
DeleteI've had to do battle with layers and layers of wallpaper!
ReplyDeleteThat is worse than paint I think
DeleteThe entire history of your kitchen! Now it is turning into one, the first ever, where you get to decide just everything. It's Christmas in April!

You are right. It is very exciting
DeleteKitchen history on the walls. Have you decided on a paint colour for your walls yet? Ours is Natural Hessian, the whole house was done in that, with bathrooms in white. Easy to match. Xx
ReplyDeleteYes, we are going for English Sage, as we have that in the lounge and like it very much. We also have a lot of "Twine" throughout our home, which is the Wilko equivalent to Farrow and Ball "string". Im not sure how that compares to your hessian!
DeleteWell done for providing the Easter Club and glad that the parents and children worked well together. Our original kitchen bore the story of its life from 1963 to 2006 as we stripped away everything ready for replastering and conversion to a shower room. Catriona
ReplyDeleteThe Club was good but tiring. I have just slept for an hour.
DeleteI was unable to watch the video (not available in my country, it said). It's interesting to see the different colors of paint in your kitchen. My kitchen was wall papered when I first bought it - huge yellow, orange, and brown flowers on a silvery background! When I peeled the wall paper off, I found a piece of plywood and when I removed the plywood, there was a huge hole in the wall behind it!
ReplyDeleteOh that must have been a shock!
DeleteThe video wasn't available here. Wouldn't it have been nice if there had been a hidden binder full of colour photos of the kitchen through all its different colour lives?
ReplyDeleteSadly I have no photos from before 2009 when we bought the property
