World Book Day Girls

Jessica was a ballerina from "The Story Orchestra - Swan Lake" and Rosie was Harriet the Spy. And Brooke won 1st prize for the best outfit at her school [a £10 book token] I put that down to the log pile hat which was the brilliant finishing touch made by her Mum.

  1. The girls look the part in their costumes and how lovely that Brooke won a prize. Our school and the school next door used to combine for World Day of Prayer and we would take it in turn to lead the service. Catriona

    1. As teenagers, we were allowed the Friday afternoon off, if we wanted to walk to the WDP service in town.

  3. Amazing costumes. I'd never heard of WDP until I was suddenly bounced into being church rep in my 40s.

    1. Many women get into it by becoming their ChurchRep on the local committee!

  5. Well done Brooke (Mum and Ang too). Jess has just the right pose for a ballerina and I love Rosie's yellow beret. My nearest WDP church is at Swanwick about 4 miles away. Xx

  8. The girls look great in their costumes, and isn't it great that Brooke won 1st prize for hers. That must make you happy, for your part in adapting the dress for her.
