Holey, holey, holy

string bag

Today we have been doing similes, and at the end of the lesson, I packed my objects into my shopping bag. “Look at this bag” I said, “it is as holey as…”

“as holey as a football goal”

said the first child

goal

“as holey as a fishing net”

said the second child

“as holy as God”

said the third child!

  1. No holes in that one! PC just complaining about how tired he is- and he really is. And I was trying to convince him that the holidays are coming- you're even taking the afternoon of Mattman's birthday off, I said, so that will put a hole in Holy week. Boom boom!

  4. Hee hee hee.

    But then...

If Holy = set apart for a special purpose

perhaps your bag could be holy afterall?!

So, no-one came up with wholly? Maybe it's wholly holey and holy?!

    I must stop.
