ReplyDeleteI've just finished an english paper pieced quilt which I started approx five years ago as a way to use up all my scraps and I am so happy with the result the only problem is my tubs of scraps must have grown in the dark as I have way more than when I started probably due to the machine quilts I made along the way.

Oh well done with your EPPQ, they grow SO slowly, to finish one is a real achievement. Jan has shared a real treasure trove here, many of uswilbe visiting Marion's world now I think ❤️

DeleteWow, WOW, and WOW!!! So much work, the coat is beyond gorgeous. I think I would be afraid to wear it and sit on something, or catch a thread on something. I can't imagine working on something for that period of time. She is amazing.
ReplyDeleteI would end up doing a careful flower embroidery over the inevitable stain! And I would be afraid of gaining weight and not being able to wear it. I guess it is a fairly unstructured fit...

DeleteI so enjoyed seeing Marion swirling around in that gorgeous coat in such beautiful surroundings, and then to see the close ups of the stunning embroidery. It really ought to be on display, but sometimes we need to use our best things!
