Bob took 48 iced fairy cakes to church this morning for the Family Service …

…but I missed the fun because I was preaching somewhere else! However I did get back in time to join the large crowd going for the Church Summer Picnic in Bosworth Park

Formerly part of the Bosworth Hall estate, this lovely expanse of grass and trees is a great venue for such an event.

We all sat around enjoying the good weather, eating lunch and watching the children playing.

Here are two of the Mums looking a little anxious – but there was nothing to worry about. Everybody was happy!

The food was splendid – especially Alastair’s flan

Bob and Bruce had a deep discussion about mobile phones

Look at that beautiful blue sky!

Hope you are having a great Sunday too.

  3. Anne - Fairy Cakes are like mini cupcakes - but these ones were bought in Asda [Walmart] because I ran out of time and energy for baking them!
