  2. Yes, it's very sad, isn't it? But, at least, it seems to have been accidental, not a deliberate act of destruction, such as when synagogues were burned during WWII or the Bamiyan Buddha statues were dynamited in 2001.

  4. Awful tragedy. They are saying the basic structure is still sound but it will take years to rebuild and so much medieval wood and glass gone.
