I'm Considering Becoming A Pin-Up Girl...

Pottering around in the loft, I came across my Super-Badge-It badgemaker. I needed a lot of badges for a conference, and it was easier and cheaper to make my own  - so Steph bought this for me. I have used it a lot over the years. Over half term I was conscious that Rosie is really into badges right now. Look...

There are lots on her rainbow jumper. A number came from the Science Fair. I have been wondering about making some more badges next time she and Jess are here. Or perhaps some for children's crafts at church.
Or maybe a couple for myself.

  1. I think you could have a fairly good business here in Blogland making badges marked "Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult".

  5. Oh, I think you should make at least a couple of badges in between remodeling the kitchen and sewing and other things. I like that one about being fun sized. :)

  6. We always had great times making badges on craft fun days during holiday club. It was always the busiest activity. Children seem to really like badges. Continuing sending you positive vibes for your hard work with your kitchen, it will be so fab when completed. Regards Sue H

  7. I used to love badges and had a floppy hat absolutely full of them when I was about 12. Your first badge should simply say 'Kitchen Fitter Extraordinaire'. :-)

  8. That looks like a fun gadget. Perhaps Rosie could learn how to operate it. I'm sure that she'd come up with some amazing designs.

  9. I’ve been looking at quirky badges online and I think you could make them with Rosie but also for your wee shop. I used to have a huge collection of different badges but donated them some years ago in one of my giant clear outs! Catriona

  10. I love the idea of you wearing a Kitchen Fitter badge because I am sure it would initiate some fun chats with people when you are shopping or checking out at stores! JanF

  11. Emma started collecting badges at Rosies age. She still has them and still adds to the collection occasionally! My favourite is the one that says Dr Emma, but I'm biased. Good luck with the kitchen fitting.
