I am a bit late posting the April calendar picture. A good reminder for all of us who write blogs. Perhaps I shouldn't have ranted quite so much recently!
Thank you Angela. I needed this reminder as recently I am ashamed to say I have been nagging/encouraging my husband (who has Parkinson’s) to do things that really he just cannot do anymore. I need to slow down, go at his pace and not worry if everything takes longer. It’s quality not quantity, after all none of us is getting any younger. I hope the parcel with the insufficient stamps was worth all the angst? I spent the day decorating yesterday and my husband was the most brilliant support keeping me fed and watered and even taping my blisters! True love indeed. Sarah in Sussex
The parcel WAS a birthday gift. it's hard sometimes to accept we are all getting older, and be a little impatient with our loved ones when things seem to take longer. But it sounds like you two are still very much in love, and that's what matters
I don't think you've been ranting, Ang. I think you've been real and honest. That's why I love coming here. There's nothing bland and beige about your blog. That's my few words and I'm sticking to them!
I love your My Painted Bear calendar, and look forward to seeing the monthly picture. It will be on my wish list in December. We all have a little rant sometimes, and you were polite in the situation. Caught up on your blog , hope you are feeling better, and belated birthday wishes. Love Isabel
Preacher, teacher, wife, mother, grandmother, craftswoman. Married to wonderful Pastor Bob since 1979, now happily retired to Norfolk, but still busy. I am blessed with two brilliant grown-up daughters and four wonderful grand children
We all need to vent from time to time. :)
ReplyDeleteI guess it is the way we vent that matters

DeleteA very good maxim to follow but sometimes a rant or two helps our blood pressure! 😠 Regards Sue H
ReplyDeleteYes indeed!

DeleteA nice sentiment but a good rant among friends die you the world of good! Catriona
ReplyDeleteAmong understanding friends, yes

ReplyDeleteAs my Gran used to say if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything. Have a good week. Xx
ReplyDeleteMy gran said that too
DeleteI'm reminded of something I once read (and there are variations) - "Lord, make my words gracious and tender, for tomorrow I may have to eat them!"
ReplyDeleteLove it!!
DeleteBrilliant saying. I have noted it in my book.
Delete👍
DeleteYour rants are as interesting as your organized posts. That’s life! May our gracious Lord continue to guide and direct you.
ReplyDeleteThank you, anon - God bless you too
DeleteI don't think you were overly ranting- merely sharing that things were difficult or frustrating! Now, I do WAAAY too much ranting!!
ReplyDeleteYou might say that, I couldn't possibly comment!
DeleteYour rants are never vicious - just forcefully stating your opinion! Love FD xx
ReplyDeleteA little too forceful sometimes though...
DeleteLord, keep your arm over my shoulder and your hand over my mouth.
ReplyDeleteI need to remember that saying. :)
Jennifer
Oh I love it!
