Before I forget, some of the photos I took during Christmas week. Here we are having Christmas lunch – our friend Jan joined us. Notice the home-made crackers!
Here’s Steph with her folded cracker plane [I love the jumper!]
And here are all four of our crackers!
I am sorry to report that despite careful folding, they did not fly that well. I had camera problems whilst we were in London, but I did get a few shots of Steph’s new house.
As yet, she and Mark are awaiting furniture – but her artwork is already up on the walls. The forest at night…
The lake in Sweden
And one of my favourites – the beach huts in Kent [Whitstable, I think]
The kitchen has a lovely set of shelves, which are already being stocked with stuff. I suspect the Christmas-gift cookbooks, and more Kilner jars will be here soon. It is a good job the top shelf is too high for me, I would be forever anagramming those letters!
The new house is lovely, and I am so pleased she has found such a great property, conveniently located for both work and church. Sad that mortgages are so horrendous though!
I love the artwork. Jx
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely to glimpse the new place, and your Christmas together. I do like those shelves... but like you, I can't cope with letters on shelves. My mum's failing was labelled kitchen canisters - she spent her life longing to disobey the labels and to put flour in the tea tin! There are some strange foibles around...
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a great time.
ReplyDeleteI love the beach hut picture.
Happy New Year Angela & Blessings for 2013.

I wish we had crackers here; they always look like so much fun in the movies.
ReplyDeleteI love Steph's artwork, especially the beach huts!

I can just imagine you climbing up a ladder before every meal to make the letters say EAT, and then up the ladder again after every meal making ATE. And then, will you put the kettle on, Ang? ;-)
