Dinner Is On Me - Literally!

In the difficult days while my aunt was in hospital, and afterwards, my lovely daughters were eager to help however they could. "Please keep sending me pictures of the children to cheer me up!" I said. And bless them, they did! The cheeriest baby in Manchester is weaning now. For sometime he has been very interested in his brother's food.

But he is really enjoying his own menus, and certainly makes mealtimes a whole-body experience!

  1. Your grandson eats just like my granddaughter! They feed them differently now, not so much of big bowls of mashed veges that we fed ours 40 years ago.

    1. Lots more emphasis on self-feeding and 'finger foods', and a good variety of tastes and textures. I read an interesting piece last week about the massive rise in peanut allergies, and scientists think that maybe anxious mums do not feed them to young children, so they do not build up the right anti-allergens. But who knows? 40 years ago, I read that many of the creams for breast-feeding mums with cracked nipples used peanut oil, and that was the cause of the adverse reactions later [So I didn't use them] Jacob seems to enjoy MOST foods. Jessica adores potatoes.
