From the Channel Four Newsroom?

I wish I didn't feel that sometimes this is how they produce the bulletins [although I suspect that for very famous people, they have obituaries and film clips already prepared]famous person dead newsroom

  1. I think there's a lot of truth in the cartoon in many ways. Last summer I heard a talk by John Weaver on the theology and 24/7 news. Evidently sometimes, and epseically with 'brekaing news', they literally have 10 minutes to write, rehearse and deliver. I seem to recall when the Queen Mother died a kind of stand-off between BBC and ITV over who gave upreporting inane comments first!
