Let’s Go Fly A Kite

At Sewing Club, the girls have been making bags using the “Kites and Stripes” technique. Here’s the front and back of Katie’s finished bag

These are based on four square foundation blocks – but there is an interesting variation using a triangular base here.

Ann has just finished another of her “Quilts for Heroes” – using all donated fabrics, and she has put it together in a matter of weeks

I want to get back to Cornerstones and do some more of my quilting there!

  1. I've just finished cutting out pieces to make the triangular version of this. It will be my first full quilt and it's very exciting. I like the kite and stripes too. It's a very effective block.
