Roll out the Red Carpet

winsley People do seem to get carried away at the Golden Globe Awards, don't they? I mean, they know they have been nominated, so surely they can prepare a few coherent words of thanks just in case they get the prize. Or can they only speak when they have a script?

It must be awards week in Blogland too, as I have been honoured with two nominations as well.

butterfly 01 09 This one from Amazing Grace  at Still Crazy. Now, here are the *rules* that go along with this award:
1. Put the award up on your blog.
2. Add a link to the person who awarded it to you.
3. Nominate at least seven other blogs.
4. Add links to these blogs on your blog.
5. Leave a message for your nominee on their blog

And this one from Karin at Yesterday, Today, Forever. "This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships. Theproximidade_award. 01 09se blogs are extremely charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award."

The problem is - receiving two awards in one day, how do I choose fifteen other bloggers to award to? I have decided to just award to

Sarah - whose blog I have only recently discovered, but I am enjoying enormously, and Dulce because PC problems over Christmas meant she was absent for a bit - and I am so glad she is back again and publishing such enjoyable posts.

I apologise if you think I'm cheating here - but it is really difficult to select people - all the blogs I read regularly are good [and if they weren't I'd stop reading them]

Thank you dear friends, for this great honour. I would also like to thank my husband, my children, my dog, the members of my Sewing Club and my Knitting Group, all the Deacons, cousins in Essex and Yorkshire, the staff in the Village Post Office...

And thank you so much for passing it on I'm touched! Which award is mine? I'll do a post on my bloggeroo.

You know I actually genuinely laughed out loud when I read your acceptance speech! LOL.
