NOT The One from Thunderbirds

At St Virgil Conference Centre in Salzburg. Typing on unfamiliar tablet with very dodgy internet access. Do not expect proper punctuation or pictures. Storms over Frankfurt meant plane delay, 4 hours late arriving. All better after good night's sleep. Food, conference sessions and friendship good. Missing my nearest and dearest, Radio 4 and availability of teapot. Weather very hot. I could never be a missionary in a hot place¡ Virgil on the other hand was a wandering Irish monk, who built the cathedral here and argued with the Pope in the 8th C that the earth was round and we should evangelize the Antipodes. No sign of von Trapps, but the Centre is filled with sound of music.
