Smile, Please!

Last week, a teacher at school said "I am sorry, I should have asked before - what is your name? I can't keep calling you The Smiley Lady Who Comes On Wednesdays!" I was quite touched by this. Much better than being called ‘the Grumpy Old Bat Who Comes In To Do SATs Support’ Smiles are so important. Proverbs 15, in The Message, reads thus

A cheerful heart brings a smile to your face;
a sad heart makes it hard to get through the day

There are some great ‘smile quotes’ out there [some better than others – and apologies that some are a bit ‘girlie’!]

Here’s two I particularly want to share with you – first, because I am smiling this weekend as my hospital appointment regarding my troublesome wisdom tooth has come through – having been told ‘around the end of 2014’, I rejoice that I am seeing the Consultant during the first week of June – just a month away!

And second – just for you, dear readers…whatever you are going through right now

  1. My life is lovely...I AM grateful. Thanks for the reminder to smile! Hope you have many reasons to smile today, too! You will be even happier when your troublesome tooth is gone!

  2. It's Mother's day here today...sending you a smile.

  3. My daughter came a-visiting.
    I made a scrumptious tea.
    I cleaned the brass.
    DH mowed the lawn before the deluge.
    I made 2 cushion covers.
    I've just had a lovely hot bath and am putting my feet up.
    Love from Mum

  4. Lovely positive you! Hurrah for the appointment coming sooner than expected!x

  5. Hi Angela, what a great post. Happy Mother's Day to you, and warm greetings from Montreal, Canada.

  6. A sad heart does indeed make it very hard to get through the day. Smiles are miles better :-)

Always glad to hear from you - thanks for stopping by!
