Make A Little Birdhouse In Your Soul

Not to put too fine a point on it
Say I'm the only bee in your bonnet
Make a little birdhouse in your soul
[keep the nightlight on…]
No, I have absolutely no idea at all what the lyrics of this strange song by 'They Might Be Giants' mean. However, Bob and I were able to spend early Tuesday morning in Norwich and we went to the Chapelfield 'intu' Shopping Mall. Mainly because Clas Ohlson, the Scandi Store will be closing soon. But we found no bargains!
In other years, we have looked at the Gorillas in Norwich and then the Dragons. Well this year, the RSPB are  goign to all the intu malls with their big birdhouse tour, to raise awareness of the work they do.
Here are some pictures of the birdhouses which were in the Mall [all around 160cm high]
Very colourful - fun to look at - and there will be lots of children's activities connected with the trail.
Go to the website for more details - and see if the birdhouses will be coming to your Shopping Centre this summer. Click on the map and the eggs will hatch and the birds will tweet!

  1. Although they are going way up North, they are missing the South West, sadly.

  2. Perhaps someone could persuade the RSPB to let them fly to Trago Mills at the end of their tour!

  3. What a gorgeous idea! They are really pretty!
