My calendar picture for October. I have spoken often of the motto of Spurgeon's College, where Bob trained for ministry.
Et teneo, et teneor - meaning
I both hold, and am held
What a blessed relief to know that I am not responsible for keeping everything going. None of us is. And there will be times for all of us when we should just stop, rest, and know that we are loved...May your Sabbath rest be a good one [whenever it happens!]
Hope you have a blessed day, Angela.

DeleteMy Sabbath will be tomorrow! Psyching myself up to take my Mother and my anorexic sister out for the day. I love them both dearly but phew, collectively they're draining both physically and mentally!!Sounds harsh but just the way my retirement is panning out!My 'glimmer' days will be Wednesday and Thursday - my Grandchildren days!Have a restful Sunday.x
ReplyDeleteHope your Sunday not too tiring, and your Monday a day of refreshment and rest
DeleteThis is a relief to read and a great reminder!

DeleteThat's a lovely message and I plan to rest for a while and maybe take a nap. I hope you are having a restful day, too, Angela.
ReplyDeleteA busy morning at church, but a relaxing afternoon and evening ✨
