Busy Bees

The Great British Sewing Bee has inspired us at Sewing Club to still more sewing. We all agreed that Ann was a worthy winner of the trophy last night.

Susan and Hayley worked hard this evening on Tartan Sashes for this summer’s Holiday at Home, which has the theme ‘Highland Fling’

Barbara brought along her new mini machine to try out

And Tina was cutting out an A-line skirt

And I was working on cutting out some fabric for my May charity project. [I forgot to photograph my stuff]

  1. We were so pleased that Anne won! She was a very gracious lady, as well as being an amazing stitcher.

  2. I've never seen a sewing machine that small - how handy for carting to sewing groups. Singer Featherweight machines used to be much in demand amongst quilters here.

  3. Whilst we don't have a regular sewing club like yours, Louise has galvanised some of the crafters in Newtownabbey and on May 18th we will be making dresses. Check out this facebook link to our group - you might like to do something similar one evening.

Always glad to hear from you - thanks for stopping by!
