Poster Girl

Then a few days later it rained heavily and the posters ran. I had to take them down and make fresh, smaller ones so the holes in the laminated sheets were not through the paper! Bob took me round in the car to save time.
We had lots of visitors in the village on Saturday for the fireworks so it was important to get the adverts out there.

[nb I blotted out my address on the photo, in case you were thinking I'd omitted it from the poster! then absently minded posted the wrong picture. Thank you for the early birds who pointed it out!!]

  4. Hello Angela,
I am able to see the address on the poster - you might need to re-blot. Good luck with your pop up shop. It's a bit far for me to get there since I am in Melbourne!

  7. Good advertising and knowing where they are so that you can go round and remove them is vital, so many people just don't bother removing them after the event.

The secret to weather-proof signs is double laminating, once before you've made the holes and then again after.

  8. Great idea to advertise when the area was busy. Fingers crossed for fine weather for the sales. I have just finished 10 lavender hanging decorations this morning using our own lavender and some christmas scraps. Catriona

    1. Lavender decorations are lovely, especially if you grew the blossoms yourself

  10. Great posters. I imagine there will be a bit of excitement when people see them. Always nice to have a sale in the neighbourhood to liven things up!
