Bob has been out in his Lathe Palace again. He's had a piece of timber for a couple of years [a discarded section of kitchen worktop, from our neighbour in Dorset] Bob's made it into a dozen candle holders for the Christmas PopUpShop.
He picked up a load of these scented candles in glass jars when we were last in IKEA. Half the holders have an oak finish, half are walnut. Some hold one candle, some two. The candles have the scent of Scandinavian forests. When the candle has burned away, a regular tea light can be dropped into the glass jar.
The photos don't do them justice. I hope they are a sell out.
Here are some joyful young people to brighten your Sunday
And how appropriate is this month's calendar picture?
Bob's candle holders are lovely and I hope they sell well!

ReplyDeleteLove the candle holders from the lathe palace maker. Norrie did something similar a few years ago and then did christmas tree ones last year to give as gifts. They will sell well to people who appreciate beautiful handmade things. I love the calendar picture for November as it’s my least favourite month in the year. Catriona

That's true. And the glass holders can be easily refilled once the original candle is used.
ReplyDeleteLovely! Hope he'll make more for your girls and grands (when they are older!).
